Chapter 2: The Family Room & #ThrowbackThursday
This nacho-eating, 9-months-into-pregnancy chick decided the day before giving birth to #3 was the perfect opportunity for a makeover. I believe its called “nesting.” (Or just an excuse for crazy, irrational decision making.) Oh, did I mention the room I had in mind for said makeover had floor to ceiling wallpaper? Add 90 degrees because of course it was August.
Yeowza. Enter sweet, supportive husband. By end of day the room was wallpaper-free and freshly painted. Hard to believe if you saw how the room looked that morning:
Important side note: when mom and dad lived here this room was always decked out to the nines. It was the formal living room and was typically used just on holidays.
Ready to see how it looks today?
Another important side note: This makeover has been a work in progress and definitely wasn’t completed all in one day. I’ll be sharing the many DIY projects that made this room come together, as well as sources for furniture and décor if you’re interested. Hope you enjoyed today’s little makeover and my first #ThrowbackThursday. Have a great day!
Hard to believe that it’s even the same room! Amazing what painting woodwork white can do for adding light into a space 🙂
