#ThrowbackThursday: A Cinderella Bathroom

Our oldest’s first art show is tonight and our princess is just bursting to show us the masterpieces she’s made at school.  We’ve been counting down “sleeps” all week and finally tonight’s the big night.  Since most of her drawings at home are “Elsa” I’m sure she’ll be making an appearance as well.  So, with my sweet girl in mind I thought I’d dedicate today’s  #ThrowbackThursday to the Cinderella-inspired bathroom we did in our first home.

Time just flies when you’re having fun (and chasing around 3 little ones!). A few years ago (3 to be exact) my daughter started this love for princesses…EVERYTHING princess.  So when we decided to paint the upstairs bathroom she was tickled to find out the paint color was going to be Cinderella’s Glass Slipper (Benjamin Moore).  Here’s a picture of how the bathroom looked before we got our DIY-hungry hands on it:

And here’s how it looked after:

Oh I still love those black and white tiles.  There’s just something so striking and classic about black and white.   You’ll actually see it a lot in our new place :-).  Thanks for stopping in!

  1. I really like how you were able to wainscot even with the baseboard heating. We have baseboard in our house and I thought plans for wainscoting went out the window. I guess not. Looks great!

    1. Thanks Soren! The trick is to cut the bottom of the MDF at an angle. 🙂 Hope we’ve inspired you to do some in your house too!
