Master Bathroom Mini-Makeover with Pearl Design Studio

*This is a sponsored post brought to you by Pearl Design Studio.  All opinions are 100% my own.

We’ve finished the Master Bathroom mini makeover! It all started with my friend Pearl, of Pearl Design Studio (on Etsy.com).  She creates the loveliest stencils and it was this very one that had me at hello.

Yes, it was love at first sight and just the boost I needed to get going on a makeover.

First, I chose where I wanted the focal point of the bathroom floor to be, then taped the stencil to the floor tile with painters tape. With a small circular-shaped sponge brush I began stenciling.  I immediately removed the stencil and fixed any smudging with a fingernail.

I found that it was easiest to remove excess paint from the stencil before moving onto the next tile.  Once the entire floor was finished, I used a mini roller (*don’t use a brush, it will pull the paint off the tile) and sealed it with Minwax Polyacrylic protective finish.  I let the floor set overnight (which I’d  also strongly recommend if you’re going to give this a try at home).

I was thrilled with the results:

Now that the floor was complete… it was on to the rest.  Let’s take a peek back at where we started:

I wanted to pump this tiny space with loads of character… so I had the mister help me add some Shiplap to the back wall.  Once that was hung, we added a new light fixture, a small cabinet, and of course a few accessories:

And last but not least, let’s see them side by side:

    1. Thank you Kirsten! I used some leftover paint I had In Chelsea grey. So far, the minwax is doing a great job! We are a family of 5…

      Thanks for popping in!
