Decorating a Mantle on a Dime

Here we are, day 9 of my Christmas decorating binge.  Thanks for coming along for the ride! Today I decided to bring a little cheer to the guest room mantle.  I didn’t want to spend any money on this little update so I shopped around the house to see what I could repurpose in here.

A throw blanket, an old ladder, a few Christmas lights, metal bins and some fresh evergreen clippings and I was in business:

I kind of love the view from the laundry room:

And speaking of the laundry, I added a few white lights to the cotton stems and I think this is my new favorite combination:

If only it enticed me to do more laundry…. maybe if I’d get my Christmas decorating done 😉

  1. Hi Kate,
So very pretty…I love that clock, oh my gosh that is gorgeous! Love that you decorated your mantel with what you had on hand, it looks amazing!
And it is a very pretty view from the laundry room, no wonder you get sidetracked when you are in there! 😉
    Happy Monday!
    Hugs, Kimberley

    1. Hi Kimberley! Thank you so much! I made that old clock from a table top, a stencil and some clock hands from Hobby Lobby 😉 so glad you like it. Now if only I could get more laundry done! Lol.

      XO
      Kate
