Fall Entryway

Yesterday I realized that our front entryway needed a little cozying up for Halloween.  So, I shopped in and around the house for items to use.  A few throws, pillows, pumpkins, a ladder and of course my Moscow mules and I was in business:

fallentryway4I took the welcome sign I’d DIYed off the side of the hutch and brought it out here to welcome our costumed guests:Fallentryway2 fallentryway3 Pumpkins and plaids? What a great pair!fallentryway5 fallentryway6And I decided to bring out the old ladder that lived by our “fireflies” back door during summer.fallentryway7I still can’t believe someone was throwing it out! (you betcha this girl grabbed it out of someone’s trash, shameless I tell ya, shameless!) It is just the right height to hide our ugly electric box, and I love the rustic vibe it gives-paint splatters and all.

Now all that’s left over on Blueberry Hill is to make a few costumes and brew something hot! 😉 Easy enough right? Happy Halloween Week!

  1. Hi Kate! 🙂
You and I could be fast friends picking through trash! 😉 I found a ladder like your too a while back and turned it into a blanket ladder by taking it apart. But I am on the lookout for another one now to be able to use outside, I love yours with the grapevine wrapped around it, so pretty.
I also love how you used leaves inside your apple basket, I am so copying that idea next year! 😉
    Your porch looks so welcoming.
Good luck with the costumes and have a Happy Halloween! 🙂

    1. Right on Girl! I’ll bring the coffee ;-). Thank you so much for your encouraging words, as always they warm my heart and make me smile. Finished the little guy’s “Blaze and The Monster Machines” Costume this morning and he couldn’t be more thrilled. Fingers crossed the weather will be fair for ‘treating in a few more days.
      Have a great night sweets.
      Kate
